Confocal Raman Microscope alpha300 R

A New Dimension in Raman Microscopy: Ultra-fast & high resolution chemical imaging

The confocal Raman microscope alpha300 R offers the unique ability to acquire chemical information non-destructively with a resolution down to the optical diffraction limit (~ 200 nm). This allows you to observe and analyze the distribution of different phases within a sample in ambient conditions without specialized sample preparation. Because of the confocal setup, it is not only possible to collect information from the sample surface, but also to look deep inside transparent samples and even obtain 3D information. A complete Raman spectrum is acquired at each image pixel, resulting in images consisting of tens of thousands of spectra. The acquisition time for one spectrum is only in the range of milliseconds, resulting in complete images being collected in a matter of minutes. When analyzing dedicated peak characteristics of the spectra, a variety of images can be generated using only a single set of data. This allows you not only to image the distribution of chemical compounds, but also to analyze, for example crystallinity or material stress properties. Further applications are typically found in polymer science, coating and thin film analysis, geoscience and in the pharmaceutical industry.

Confocal Raman and Atomic Force Microscope alpha500

Automated Imaging System for Analyzing Chemical and Surface Structural Properties

Acquiring hundreds of different Raman or AFM images of a large sample without any ongoing process control by an operator is now reality: The alpha500 is the first instrument on the market to combine Confocal Raman Imaging and Atomic Force Microscopy in a fully automated and integrated system incorporating a motorized sample stage (150 x 100 mm) and a piezo-driven scan stage (100 x 100 x 20 µm). It not only allows high resolution surface topography imaging with AFM on many different sample positions but also Raman Imaging, large area Raman scans and multi-point spectra acquisition on a user-defined arbitrary number of measurement points. The AFM and Raman data of the same sample positions can then be matched and linked together for a more comprehensive understanding of the sample's properties.

Automated Confocal Raman and Atomic Force Microscope alpha700

High-end Automated Surface Inspection Tool for Extremely Large Samples

For the automatic and comprehensive inspection of extremely large samples with Raman and AFM, the alpha700 is the instrument of choice. The full range of the motorized microscopy stage is 350 x 300 mm in the x and y directions and the sample holder can be individually configured to match specific requirements providing extensive and flexible sample handling.
